Hi,
have fitted the gearbox to pug, when i removed the box the pedal would only go down half way and no more, (i now know why) now i have fitted new clutch and box is back in vehicle but pedal has gone right to the floor ,is it just a case of bleeding or is there something else?
from what i could see i lined up the slave cylinder rod to the clutch fork so that should be ok,
Remove the slave and shove your fingers in to see if the fork's either flapping about, or stuck in a sunk position.
It's quite possible the bearing's popped out of the pressure plate. It happened to me as a result of a failed bearing, so I needed to do all the work again

If it's the 2.1td 12v model it's a sealed system, the whole unit must be replaced (£198 for parts only) That includes pipes, master/slave cylinder & reservoir already made up with a "snap off" clip that breaks on first use of the pedal and starts the thing working. There is no bleed facility.

ive had a nosey on the "Google, tinterweb,
Theres Mention of BAck bleeding -them, dosent say much on how its done tho,
You might be best asking Jaspers, he may know a way of bleeding them,
well had a drive round tonight clutch pedal is a little soft but there's no crunching in to gear so it must be doing its job,
just want to say (as i don`t come on here very much) many thanks for all your help got me out of a corner,

well it seems there's a problem with pedal now its just been for mot but the pedal not clearing and its starting to crunch and shudder, dont tell me it needs a new clutch and slave set up?
