That'd be a great idea. But I'm not so sure the wifely person nor the daughter will be so happy about me spending the whole holiday under the car!
However, if some of you wants to take a holiday in the Dolomitis and wants to come with a truck full of 406 spares I'm sure we can arrange something

Out of interest, do D9 seats fit in a D8? And vice versa?
fronts do yes. and so does the rear bottom section.
on the rears. the back rest section is a different metal plate on the back for the seat locking mechanism. ive transfered D9 rapier seats to my previos D8 before i got leathers.
its just a case of removing the cloth and inner sponge and transfering .... the fitments are identical once there removed from metal frames.
there even letting the carpet go with that interior. i wouldnt recommend changing the carpet. ive done 1. it was a nightmare.
you wont get the full carpet in, in 1 peice without some serious stripping out.
in the end i cut the carpet into 2 peices. the cut was hiden by the centre console.
