hdi 90bhp cutting out
hi guys, just wondered if anyone could shed some light on a problem i have with my car.
when i put my foot down in my car it cuts out, i turn off the ignition & then turn it back on & it starts again.
the fault code is p1112 ive changed the fuelrail pressure sensor & ive replaced the lift pump, i had the AA out to it the other day & he wasnt a very very nice man, cos he didnt have a clue, so i thought id come to the professionals & see if you could help me out with this.

P1112 Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent Low Voltage
Is that the thing that connects just behind the air filter box?

Yep, it's part of the MAF - No. 14 below.....

Worth unplugging / plugging in a few times & possibly cleaning.
Seem to recall there was a mod. to separate some of the sensor earth connections to avoid spurious readings, but not sure if it included this fella.
Anyone remember?

Re: hdi 90bhp cutting out
well sorry its taken a while to reply to you all, well the news isnt good i had no luck with finding this fault, so i've decided to scrap this car & buy another 1 ( i must be mad )
but let me tell you where i went on finding a possible cure for this.
i took apart every electrical connector on the car & made sure good connections were made & i checked vacuum pipes for splits.
but when the AA man said it might be better to take it into a main dealer it just was'nt worth it.

Re: hdi 90bhp cutting out
It may not be to do with the connectors but with the sensor itself. Have you tried a new MAF sensor -- in particular in light of busman's experience? (Mine eats throttle position sensors.)
However, I can understand that you're so fed up that you just want shut of it

Yep, sounds to me like a £37 maf sensor would have cured this.

Re: hdi 90bhp cutting out
have you tried the high pressure fuel regulator that located on the high pressure fuel pump? it may have an accumulation of swarf on the very small filter end which can cause the stalling, if you havent already take it out and clean it off with some carb cleaner and see if its any better
