Ok so £6.50 posted? If we are both talking about the same part it shouldn't be hard to get out as my one flew out down the motorway at 80! It just presses into the channel/groove! Ian

Right, totally confused now mate.. are we on about the window rubber on the arse end or the rubber where the roof has it's gutter? 'Cos if it's the roof gutter I must have lost mine as well .. not very good design.. in fact, I don't have one in the gutters either side.... all the way down... I thought it was where you would put a roof rack if you didn't have bars.. see, if you don't know it's missing you wouldn't know you should have one....

VespaSkin wrote:Floodys... sorry pal, just re-read your post - £5 PLUS postage,, I start chucking things in tubes it goes from large letter to large package and the rubber's worth a fiver (it'll be a pain in the hole to get out as well) - or a fiver and come here and pick it up.....

As for the alternator - not too sure mate, I've actually got 2 working alternators - one with clutch (recessed spline) and one which isn't (recessed large nut) - both are 4 bolt (the 2 on the right have the spacer cones) - will check output as I know the Kwt are different between 90's and 110's - and both have 1x large and 1x small nut/bolt connectors for the wires... if they do fit they will be £25 + postage each or you can collect...(cost me £40 + postage from ebay 5 months ago - have no charge faults on dash) only have 2 because thought the pulley had gone on 1st, but it hadn't, was bearing in aircon compressor pulley had gone... I'm keeping one as a spare, I'm not bothered which.....
Ok mate,i'll have to come over in my car to compare and i'll have one off you if you have the right one, might be interested in the air con compressor as well, wouldn't be able to come over for a week or so would that be ok? could you pm me a phone number so we can sort a time out thats convenient for us both.

GTV - sorry pal, the sill rubber has a split in it just where the bottom of the front door is, it runs for about 6" where the seam on the seal is glued....

Just weighing up options

How much for the complete front end, what colour, and what kind of condition?

Alternatively, you still looking at losing the whole car?

Like I say, just weighing up options 8)

Vespaskin... could you send me a speaker please? The one at the driver's foot sounds distorted -- very annoying. Will it weigh a lot because of the magnet? Thanks.

Apart from that how long do you intend to keep the car? I am keen to resolve my turbo problems but currently have to idea how to go further! (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18323&p=181923). I was wondering if some other parts might save me -- the cars seem to be from the same breed.
