Makes me chuckle looking at old engine bays - there's soooo much room in there and that one is a 'big' engine for its time.

Wee Peugeot van is nice. Vans in those days look like they had a bit of character, not like the boxes they are now.

Tried in vain to find a pic of a mk4 zephyr engine bay, which despite having the spare wheel in there, is still mostly full of emptiness......

Anyone admit to having one?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)

Now, the things I know about Zephyr's could be written on one of my testicles but looking at that sorry heap from here I can imaging it is nothing short of depressingly shyte to drive.

Were they a common car back in th'day?

I mean, were they as common as a mk2 Granada?
Or a 90s Scorpio?

I can never remember, which it was but my dad had a Zephyr or a Zodiac

Just looked on Wiki and it was a Zodiac mkIII but they came with a straight 6 not V6 which was mkIV, if it can be believed :lol:

I remember bailing hay when i was about 15 there was a Zephyr on the farm covered in chicken sh*t, they were living in it :lol: .... Bear in mind that was 24 years ago. :supafrisk:

The later ones look like elongated Cortinas, which Granadas were too I suppose.

Ahh the cortina :oops: i remember my dads jet black x reg, sunroof the full box of tricks. I always dreamed of doing it up when i reached 17 but he scrapped it when i was 15. Sad times but i did get to drive it one night when he was pissed and fancied a chinese... And have sex in it... With a female. :roll:
