I checked that one and gave it a bit of a clean with some electrical contact cleaner. Will try unplugging all the plugs again and gives the pressure regulator another clean before I try an source one.

Really beginning to lose heart now! I took the pressure regulator out again and tried moving the tip up and down to clean it but it doesn't move??

I went to a scrap yard and picked another one up but when I got home and checked it they were slightly differen?? The sourced one doesn't seem to have a tip on it. The guy in scrap yard said that sometimes the tips seize on them so I took a chance but on closer inspection it doesn't look like it has a tip on it.

I refitted my original one and the car seemed to run for ten minutes then packed up again. I tried fitting the one from scrap yard to see if that worked but no....
