Heater fan not blowing anymore
my heater fan has stopped working in my d8 sri, all the display on the climate still works as normal but nothing blowing out, still got the bit of hot air that comes out naturally when its on hot, it did it for a short period a while ago but started working again, but now its been not working for 2 days
Re: Heater fan not blowing anymore
Check the connectors, theres one on the D8s of which is known to burn out,
Have alook in the KB section of the forum, iirc there was a how too guide on that subject,

Re: Heater fan not blowing anymore
As Lozz said the connectors are prone to burning out, easy to spot by the blackened melted plastic, I fitted a chunky household electrical connector in my old D8.
If the resistor has blown you can get replacements, the simplest method is to rescue a fan from a breakers and swap the complete unit over.
I think the D8 and D9 share the same blower and possibly the 306 as well.

Re: Heater fan not blowing anymore
how do i get to the fan blower? or is it the actual climate control unit we're talking about?
Re: Heater fan not blowing anymore
I've had both issues on my D8
Melted plastic connector, which I replaced with a 50amp Anderson connector
and
Resistor going
Look below the glovebox, and you'll see a triangular piece of trim, which you take out - couple of clips on bottom of dash, and it willl slide out of one on bulkhead.
Disconnect the two connectors, one big, one small, and then there are 3 screws securing the blower in place.
Simple operation to dissamble blower and change resistor - i got mine off the bay, and think I changed mine in about 10mins whilst also making tea
