Heater fan not blowing anymore

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

As Lozz said the connectors are prone to burning out, easy to spot by the blackened melted plastic, I fitted a chunky household electrical connector in my old D8.

If the resistor has blown you can get replacements, the simplest method is to rescue a fan from a breakers and swap the complete unit over.
I think the D8 and D9 share the same blower and possibly the 306 as well.

I've had both issues on my D8

Melted plastic connector, which I replaced with a 50amp Anderson connector
and
Resistor going

Look below the glovebox, and you'll see a triangular piece of trim, which you take out - couple of clips on bottom of dash, and it willl slide out of one on bulkhead.
Disconnect the two connectors, one big, one small, and then there are 3 screws securing the blower in place.
Simple operation to dissamble blower and change resistor - i got mine off the bay, and think I changed mine in about 10mins whilst also making tea 8)
