I dunno about you but when mine were really bad I turned into a walking analgesic dispensary - now, I've had 1,500mg of those, 1,000 of those...ah, I've only had 500 of those so I can have another couple... I get in such a state I'd take anything if there's a chance it can do something about the pain. Lord knows what my liver is like

When you get a migraine your digestion shuts down, plenty of times I'd feel dehydrated, drink lots of water and then throw the whole lot up again. The pill for that is Motillium, which you can get from the vet's... sorry, chemist over the counter. They don't do that here so I have to import them. The alternative here is Torecan, that's for when things get real bad as you don't swallow them

I have pills for the migraines (Zomig) but it's always annoying when I throw the pill up again 5 minutes later, with the motillium I suddenly feel hungry and I know things are going to get better soon.
If you can get it, the herbal alternative is Winter Savory -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturea_Montana which you drink tea made out of dried leaves.
Incidentally, my mate the herbalist here has given me a treatment for your arthritis but I reads kind of worryingly...
