Introducing the Vauxhall "Adam"

Post by Welly »

I has no idea about these cars until yesterday, I can't help thinking it's a mistake to give a car an actual name? what's next the Peugeot 'Pete' or the Ford 'Bob'

Looks to me like a looky-likey of a Shitroen DS3 and a Fiat 500?

There are far too many types of cars these days. SUVs, MPVs, whatever-else-Vs.

What was wrong with just a simple saloon and an estate? I despise medium-sized hatchbacks (Focus, Golf etc.) even though they've been around for a while and those good-for-nothing X1s and Q3s that the German companies seem to be pumping out. They clearly found an idiots' market.

4x4's turned from being a farm-yard tool to a bling toy to show the world that you have a small penis...and a car that doesn't work off-road/on a farm.

I love the super-minis though, like Fiat 500 or an Aygo. Perfect for large cities if you live there.

And this... thing. What is it? A cross of a cross of a cross?

And breathe...
2003 - 2008: 1998 Peugeot 406 2.1 TD 110bhp LX Saloon
2008 - 2009: 2004 Honda Accord 2.2 CDTI 136bhp Executive Saloon
2009 - 2013: 2002 Peugeot 406 2.0 HDI 110bhp Executive Saloon
2013 - 2021: 2007 Peugeot 407 2.2 HDI 170bhp Executive Saloon (mapped to 213bhp )
2021 - ????: 2016 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 180bhp Titanium

Yes,its wrong to give it a name, the name must be given by driver, not by factory :cheesy:

So can we be expecting the Sophia, Carl, Wilhelm, Heinrich, Friedrich, and Ludwig in due course?

Hmm, the 'Vauxhall Wilhelm'

Yes, but not thick enough to buy a Vauxhall Adam or a 1 series or a Nissan Puke or...

SPV?

True: there is an actual purpose to their smallness and it is genuinely useful in their intended habitat.

Had one in the showroom here a few weeks back. Looks ok, main gimmick is choice of colours and trims inside and out, apparently you can specify roof lining that lights up like the night sky lol. Doesn't appeal to me, only 2 seats in the back and a tiny boot and there is no diesel option either.

I don't think it'd catch on mate; the Toyota "f*cking Thing" or the Toyota "What Now" just doesn't attract potential buyers :|

Thing is here, we all take the micky but you can bet this 'ere Adam will fly out the showrooms and will become the must-have for every trendy female (courtesy of Mum & Dad no doubt) I suppose the sporty ones will attract Lads but I'm getting a distinct 'girly' thing with the car - like the Bini's and 500's out there
