Re: Alternator Bearings
According to your part number if you go to a normal bearing supplier you will need a 6303 bearing and a 6003 bearing SEALED type.
Available on Amazon or Ebay as well as all bearing suppliers.

Re: Alternator Bearings
Sorry, you need the sealed type , i posted the wrong links.
I can find out tomorrow about the size of the splined tool, I used one last week, I borrowed it off my mate who rebuilds alternators.

Re: Alternator Bearings
Thats great cheers jasper mine only go up to 14 so will go buy one
Re: Alternator Bearings
The correct tool has a sleeve that fits over another part so you can hold the alternator shaft whilst you tighten up the bolt....the splined part needs to be mega tight.

Re: Alternator Bearings
Any idea what torque setting i should do it up to
Re: Alternator Bearings
No idea, very tight...I had a pulley come loose on a customer's car, aux belt flew off when the pulley flew off, tightened it up with that tool as tight as I could get it, it didn't come loose again.
