the proverbial Airbag

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Hi,
Have you checked all the wiring/connectors under the seat
Also give the plug that goes into the seatbelt pretenioner/orange cable if irember correctly..
Give that awiggle-normaly they can become slack and gain a bad connection-common fault.

+1 with Lozz. The pre-tensioner connection is behind the other connections under the front seat, hard to spot and not obvious straightaway. Give this one a go too.. 8)

Don't be pulling anything out with the ignition on-you might end up getting
Flashbanged by an air-bag and them things burn you when they go off trust me
On that one ..

Unplug the connectors that go into the pre-tensioners and have look at the pins/contacts.

Didn't they used to have times for the check lights to be on when the car's first started? Or is that just ABS? :?
