Beware of the full moon......

Post by Welly »

I have been interested in natural occurances which seamingly (and inexplicably) affect one's mood.

I have noticed, and charted, that Mrs Welton becomes rather restless around the time of the full moon, the kids would misbehave and I myself would feel rather lethargic and can't be arsed to do anything. It appears that a full moon with it's increased gravitational pull can have an affect on us all. I had a very quick search on the internet and much is said of this very topic.

It is interesting in fact that the word 'lunatic' is derived from the latin Luna meaning moon.

I thought I would ask if any of our members have experienced any irrational behavior amongst their loved one's, friends or collegues particularly over the weekend just gone, and in fact today aswell.

Don't worry I'm not going mad or anything, just interested. Have a real think about the last few days and I bet someone was affected in some way.

Welly.

Well, I put the salt away in the wrong cupboard last night, so I hit myself with a frying pan and refused to sleep with myself. :?

You know what, you guys can joke all you want but there's been some serious scientific research into the effects of the lunar cycle on women and the effects it has on their preferences in men.

For example, at a certain point in the cycle a woman will prefer a man who is caring, tender, sensitive and would make a good father to her children.

At other times in the cycle a woman would prefer a man who is handsome, arrogant, strong and willful as a mate.

And at that special time in her cycle, a woman would prefer a man who has had his head ripped off, his innards strewn to the winds and a baseball bat shoved up his arse while he sits on a nest of red ants smeared in honey.

Hehe.....We have the painters in this week too :frown: although, I did know they were coming as there was some signs of their imminant arrival late last week. There was an episode of 'speed cleaning' around the home, 'extreme complaining' and hostility towards my goodself, hey, what did I do?

Is it just me or does the length of time the painters are in seem to get longer and longer? there is the pre-decorative stage, the full decoration 'hall stairs and landing' with full protective dust sheets, then there is some post decorative disorder.

Heck, in any one month the painters take over for around two flipping weeks I'll be glad to f*ck em off this week so I can get a good look at their 'workmanship' if there's any rough edges there will be hell to pay.
