D8 Fuel Guage and Speedo errors
So as you may know from when I first got the 406 (and found this site) my 406's rev counter normally sites at 2,200RPM unless I'm giving it some hard acceleration
Now I discover that the speedo needle is stuttering and also jumping about (it it sticks on a speed I can tap the guage - just like the fight pilots did in the war - and it goes back to normal) and the fuel guage is doing the silmilar - it's also taking a long time to read how full the tank is - filled it up yesterday and I was greeted by the low fuel light and then it took alomst 30 minutes to read properly
Any thoughts?
Mike

however when i got it i was told there is a problem with the speedo
and have since encounted said problem i.e the needle flops
around but not all the time i can drive down the road and
it is fine then for no reason it drops to zero even though
am driving at road speed any ideas on what the e is

Keep me updated Pyros as I have heard of many occasions where this has been changed and it still ends up being dry joints on the clocks.
If it does DO NOT TAKE IT TO PEUGEOT as they will just change the whole unit and that will cost hundreds. If you are not happy to take on the work yourself, there are a few websites that will do the work for you for a lot less cash, and you will keep your clocks with the correct mileage.
But hopefully you'll be all sorted!
