I used to live a mile down the road from Drapers HQ near Southampton. As the avalanche of
cheap stuff started coming in from China, I recall Drapers sacking loads of people, and basically
just becoming a brand name for imports/distribution. Much the same happened, if they didn't
go bust, to lots of well known tool manufacturers... Brittool, Sealey, Hilka...
Although Germany has the reputation for manufacturing, from what I can gather, there are rather
few handtools made there now. Except for the very high end stuff... Stahlwille.

so that just goes to show,we dont know what we are getting with the Modern tools,
if its made in asia,it will be made fast on production line, and cheapest possible materials, for them to make it worth while
working for 25pence an hour,
