its a 1.8 16v,and im looking for easy bolt on upgrades, dont want to go to 200 bhp area as i use my car everyday and need reliability more than anything, anyone used a K and N panel filter on their cars
well the parts i have for sale are from a peugeot 306 GTi6 which uses essentially the same engine as the XU 1.8 and 2.0 16v, but has a few changes such as the exhaust manifold which is very well designed, and slightly wilder camshafts, they are bolt on parts, but you will need a GTi6 cat for the manifold, these 2 parts will gain you arround 20 bhp and 25 lb/ft of torque, and as they are oem parts you will not be loosing reliability!

If your looking for reliability, I recommend leaving anything under the hood well alone. Its worked ok so far, why tinker?
I suppose and air filter is ok.
Where abouts are you anyway... your username leads me to believe you up in Scotland.

I've seen to many folks tinker with their engines and ruin perfectly reliable cars, including 406s. Most of them are mechanics too!

yes im in kilwining on the west coast of scotland, its a small town, and ive just got the car and i don"t want to start putting cams etc in it just yet im looking towards just lowering and a set of alloys just now as the body is very tidy for an R plate car,
You'll destroy its smooth ride and you'll smack it off every speed bump around. Put a set of 16 inchers on it and get the same effect without ruining the ride
I think this is what you're after.....unless you are fluent in German, you'll need a translator, like Babel Fish http://babelfish.altavista.com/ to deal with communications like ordering etc....there is an english (sort of) version of the main site, however.
