Peugeot 406 HDI Familial electricity problem

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Peugeot 406 HDI Familial electricity problem

Post by mulhamaryan »

hy
i have a Peugeot 406 HDI familial
the problem is the reset of all electrical parameters when i turned it off the car and back it on all the old parameters like
radio, time, kilometer counter back to default or last saved parameters when i've brought the car
example
if the radio's station was set on 92.2 FM and saved and turn off the car and back on the radio will auto back to 89.9 FM
and same problem with kilometer counter is always on 65 Km when i turn on the car
and the air condition always on level 2 when i turn on the car
Briefly just i want to say that all electrical parameters on the car when i turned it on it's always back to last saved parameters
so please can some just tell from this problem is coming
thanks :)

I seem to recall, in the dim and distant past, someone having a similar problem and it turned out to be a fuse. Might not even have been a 406 but I guess it's worth a look.

The permanent live to the radio would be worth eliminating.

What year is the car?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

mulhamaryan, just a suggestion, you may find it easier to also try the french 406 owners club: http://www.passion-406.com/

You are very welcome here, but they would be able to converse in french with you more easily than we can.

Bon chance!
