The search a car was focused mostly on small stuff for insurance purposes, and petrol therefore there would be no turbo, injector, dpf or egr problems to deal with, we looked at a few toyota corollas, a few clios, and some 206s, this nice original example was on gumtree:

Its a 2005 1.1 Sport 3dr, its a nice trim level with alloys, trip computer, air con, leccy windows and mirrors, 40,000 miles and 7 months mot my dad haggled the price down from £1850 to £1600
We went down this evening and took a look at it, my sister liked the colour of it, i checked over it and it all seems in good condition, the engine is clean, good oil, good coolant no leaks, no rust, there are no squeaks or rattles.
The engine is a 1.1 Petrol the same TU5 that my grandpas 106 has so it should be easy to run and maintain.
Are there any issues with these cars, the back axle is the only thing i can think about being tricky to repair but at 40,000 miles hopefully that wont need attention for a while.
