Friday night for a change we went to a well-known Pizza emporium in Town as Mrs_Welly had exchanged some of my Tesco Vouchers to use against the food bill.
I had a Chicken Caesar Salad [read: mountain of Lettuce, some cheap croutons, and approx half a chicken breast kinda shredded into the mix, it was a rip off but edible.] Son had a pasta meal which was about the size of a starter at best and Wife & Daughter both had Lasagna which was small and turned up boiling at about 1000 deg C, they were still picking at it when I'd finished* mine.
Before this we'd been asked if we wanted pre-starters, 'starters' and then any other accompanying expense with the actual meal. Drinks took the form of 2 x small cokes rammed with Ice at £2.45 each! a small bottled Larger at £3.60 and I mistakenly agreed with the waitress offering me a 'Large' bottled Larger not realising it was a whopping £6.55

During the meal we were bombarded with Mega Noise from the trendy in yer face Kitchens clanging pots and pans about and other diners talking loudly over it; we found it difficult to actually talk to each other

The bill was £55.00, not the end of the world I know but for what we received it was shocking. I likened the experience to any other high street rip off chain; drag you in and sell it high. I cannot stand this approach I know I shouldn't really compare a 'fast' restaurant to a quality one but I sure as hell will never go to one of these places again.
When we got home we started on the crisps as we were all still hungry
