Indicator relays usually go nuts when there's a bulb blown, I think it's a feature, so presumably it's not seeing enough current flowing through your leds and doing the same. I have a suspicion you might get frowned at during your next mot...
thanks for that,
ill check it with my mot guy b4 the next mot and swop em out for the mot if i have to,
but saying that my mot guy is my ex bro in law and can be more understanding, not to the point of law breaking, but is more lenient..

Add another to my list, the indicator stalk has decided to jam :x
I took it apart & the contact is virtually worn away & worn the casing away. Another trip to the breakers

Well I fixed the stalk, it was a great botch out of necessity
The track that the indicator contact ran in has a gap in the centre with a plastic bridge. This had snapped causing the contact to get jammed. I had no epoxy to hand so I cut up a piece of an old araldite spatula to fit the gap & heated it up with a small hot air gun to shape it into the gaps. Dob of grease & it works perfectly!
To the previous poster; you can unsolder the plip buttons and pop them apart (very tiny bits inside though!) There is a concave disc which is sprung; this makes the contact. Clean it up with some isopropynol, also the contacts it mates onto. Re-assemble, resolder & job's a good'un. Very fiddly but saves a lot of anger pressing the button 'til you put your finger through the rubber outer!

The plip on my D8 has one button, it got a bit tempermental but I found the little battery inside had got dirty somehow, cleaned it up in (yeah right, isopropyl alcohol my arse) šljivavica (I'm not insane enough to drink the stuff) and it worked fine. Trouble is the button still disintigrated. New one from Pug? Stuff that! It ended up getting fixed by a watch repairer.

I had to get a new innards for the D9's plip and that came with case and buttons, 'twas a bit pricy!

I've got the ABS light (must check those connectors!) and the low coolant light (it isn't lying either!) Must fit a new radiator!!!
Previous owner had tried botching the bottom hose on and cracked the joint on the rad
I have to top it up every 2 weeks or so and I think the antifreeze is so diluted I'm risking it a bit!
