I have a 1998 (R) 2.1td with air con and my aux belt tensioner is giving up the ghost.
I had the pully changed 12 months ago but decided against the extra cost of the tensioner as i was not planning on keeping the car.............well 12months on and it needs doing.
I have looked at the GSF website and can only find cam belt tensioners.
Any ideas on cheap alternative suppliers?
Thanks in advance

got mine from peugeot, as local motor factors didnt do them.
I think it was £56, and wasnt too difficult to change, but bent up a couple of my allen keys which the haynes suggests you use to lock the holes.

Re: belt tensioner - where from?
I have spoken to GSF and Euro car parts and they seemed to be offering me different things!
I had the pulley replaced 12 months ago becasue the bearings were shot in it and it was squeeking like mad and you could see the belt wandering on it.
GSF offered the spring damper on its own.
Is the whole tensioner assembly a 2 part item, ie pully and spring damper (the bit that looks like a shocker) or are there more bits involved?
If its 2 part then i only want the damper bit dont i?
If its 3 part then what is the 3rd part!
Tell me to wee off if you dont know!
