I can't see any point to it so it's back in my garage. When the time comes to sell I'll stick it back on and it'll still look brand new (even of the rest of the car doesn't),

Excuse me Sir, the Patented anti splashback EDPM seal requires a little downwards pressure to maintain an effective water seal whilst filling the system. Unlike 'other' makes of bottle which rely on sticky taped joints.
