I bought my 2000 plate 406 90 HDI GTX estate about 2 weeks ago, the reason being i needed something cheap to run, fairly simple to work on and a bit more family friendly than my last motor, so I have gone from a '99 BMW 740 E38 (the love of my life, but dont tell the wife) to a big silver rattling bus, mind you got to say im loving the MPG, Ive gone from about 17-18 round town to nearly 50 mpg now so thats putting the smile on my face a bit, doesnt make up for the fact the the 7 is sat on the drive looking all sad, everytime i walk past to get in the pug i feel like im cheating on her

But as time goes by and the huge amount of cash im, saving with the 406 on fuel she will back and can then truly achieve the status of TOY.

the 406 does have a few gremlins to sort and of course the standard bottom engine mount to sort along with a dubious amount of history so i spose the timing belt should be done, but my new friends that is where you lot come in, i will apologies now for the future, you may get sick of me asking the most obvious questions about the 406. (I really wanted to hate the sensible family car, but i kinds like it
