Re: petrol tubby problem
you maybe right i just had a look at my 406 V6 and that doesn't have a MAF i know the diesels do and most petrol models so no need to go hunting for something that may not be there

The XU10J2TE tubby and ES9J4 v6 (maybe the early XU10J4 16v?) don't have MAFs. The ES9J4 has a MAP sensor poking out the back of the inlet manifold.
The XU10J2TE has a MAP sensor built into the engine ECU (Bosch MP3.2) itself which is fed from a small pipe on the throttle body which goes into the engine wiring harness and plugs into the ECU.

Re: petrol tubby problem
Is the maf not part of the throttle body like in the 2.0 16v? On my 97 There was a wee diode looking thing, just like the inside of the tube type maf. When you take the air intake off the throttle body its just inside if i mind right.
Re: petrol tubby problem
IIRC there's a heater element (big yellow thing) to the top left, a temperature sensor to the top right, and the throttle pot on the right sideddoherty406 wrote:Is the maf not part of the throttle body like in the 2.0 16v?
