not wanting to hyjack the thread, but is there a short shifter kit available for the 406?
Past car - D9 2.2 SRi estate, sleeper, family wagon & general hauler!

well yeah i am aware of that one - lol, but is there a kit that changes the pivot point of the lever and therefore reducing the 'throw' of the lever?

i have found this helps too so i was drawn towards the linkage also.my box oil "should" be not too bad the car is a 1999 but only got 62k on the clock

cheers mjb, good info there.

and yup lurch, the 406 shift's like a fecking victorian signal box. A short shift would be a godsend.

jeesus its a big culture shock going from hard-core jap & german hardware to a rubber shopping trolley from the land of weewee, but I need the mpg. For now..... :mrgreen:
