Why not start a new thread ... "The most miles" - with a rule you can only reply if yours has more than the last person's entry?

Japster starts at 217,000 ... we would also like to know what model 406 - engine especially! And how a bout a bet that the diesels win! :cheesy:

Ain't Photoshop great :)

Didn't someone say the odometer on the 406 rolls over when it gets to a certain point (I don't mean 999,999, but somewhere a lot lower than that?)

That's not photoshop - it's (likely) the result of plugging in instrument clusters from different cars. When a mileage mismatch is detected, the mileages shown on the instrument cluster and within the BSI are added

I'd guess that'd be 621,371 miles, as 406s use metric units internally (only converting to imperial for display use) and that's 1 million km in miles, however the above picture seems to dispel that myth

Thought it might be Photoshop; there's something about the left-most "8" that just sticks out. That 8 looks too much like the one to the right of it.

Look at the left-most 8 - particularly the red background bit inside the 8; it's brighter than the dark red background around the outside, but it's the same shade of red as the bit inside the 8 to the right.

I am crap at explaining myself :(

If it's a genuine un-doctored picture, then no offence - maybe I'm just too used to spotting Photoshop fakes that I see imperfections everywhere :( All too common a practice, these days, it seems...

That's not Photoshopped at all; you've got a cracking motor Steve, but you must have been going awfully fast to cram in all those miles into one human lifespan - hope you didn't get any tickets!

You're right. It's obvious on this laptop. Not only are the middle bits lighter, but there's a bright area to the left of the number which is perfectly vertical with a hard pixel edge...
