no heater
now the wifes heater motor has stoped working so i replaced the resistor pack with a known working one from my 406
and still no blower fan working i then changed the digital control and still no fan working is it comon for the fan motor to fail ?

With mine there is a white connector block behind the glove box that was shorting out - obvious from the scorched markings on the connector.
It blew the 50a fuse which is located in the engine bay fuse box.
I had the connector replaced with some heavy duty connectors and replaced the fuse - no more problems for me

ive checked the connector and all is fine as is the 50a fuses in the engine bay fuse box so im guessing its the motor as thats the only thing i aint changed

my heater blower motor used to rattle and crunch really bad i got a second hand one from a fella breaking a 406 for £20 just 1 plug and 3 torx screws and it was off its really simple

If that dont work try looking at the ignition switch cos thats what
it was on mine

right guys after more tinkering ive removed the old motor and tested it

ive now check for + v to the motor when its switched on but its showing no voltage

refering to the ignition switch what part of the switch was defective on your car ?
could you be a bit more precise as to what needed looking at pics even ?

right then guys the heater is now fixed
was just a case of following the grey wire from the ignition switch to the connector on the motor cut said wire at both ends and solder new wire in of same dimension as the old and hey presto we now have working heaters
